About me:
I am a certified play and creative arts therapist registered with PTUK. I am also a fully qualified teacher with 22 years teaching experience in both London and Shropshire schools. As an adoptive mother to a 5-year-old autistic child I have first-hand experience of both attachment and autism.
I work primarily in schools providing play therapy for 4-16 year olds in their educational setting, but do also take private referrals.
My therapeutic approach:
I am an attachment-led therapist working with an integrative approach. I believe that early nurture is the key to developing positive attachment relationships and resilience to trauma.
I have a particular interest in providing therapy for children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder, securing that all-important joint attention and utilising strategies for decreasing anxiety.
